Nothing is harder than trying to please everyone. At 53, let me share something with you: every year it gets easier to stand true to yourself. And honestly, I’m deeply grateful for the person I’ve become. I’ve lived a lot. I’ve learned a lot. I’ve got stories, scars, and laughter — and I wouldn’t trade any of it. I am me. And yes, I like me.

In the past, I often wished life would calm down — fewer ups and downs, less turbulence. Did that happen? No. And today, I’m glad it didn’t. Because peace isn’t the absence of motion; it’s the ability to find stillness within it. I appreciate moments of harmony now, and I’m profoundly thankful that I’ve learned to walk away from people who drain me instead of give me energy. That, I’m convinced, is one of life’s greatest medicines as you grow older.

Today in the book of life, page 9.
It feels just right for the 4 months left this year. Let’s go.

“Everything is fine. Just the way it is.”
Try this out for yourself this week – don’t just read the words, say them out loud every morning.

When I carry this sentence within me, everything feels so much lighter.

So many of the questions inside me, the restlessness, the search for change – they all find their answer here.

And believe me – at 13, 23, 33, or 43, these words would have been hard for me to accept.
But today, at 53, it’s okay – just the way it is. 🙂

Let me know what you think of this petit conseil.

Have a truly wonderful day! 🌿

Paris – always alive, always moving, always whispering „joie de vivre“. People smile, they look at each other – beauty is everywhere. This time I was in Paris “on business” – what a privilege to explore a potential hotel project and to join a wonderful gathering of inspiring women for the book launch of THE GUIDE (a must read) and to meet Dee and Dayenne from andbloom.

I returned full of good vibes – and here comes my personal Top 7. Maybe you’ll find a little gem for your next Paris trip. Because yes, no matter how everyday life feels – 48 hours in Paris beat any hormone shot (and are far more natural!).

À très bientôt,

This dress isn’t really appropriate for your age.” I can already hear it.
Do I listen @53? I pretend not to. Do I feel like wearing it today? Oh yes.

Will someone say, “Her upper arms aren’t firm enough for that dress”?
“Her belly shows”? Probably. And you know what? Yes — I still feel it.
But also: I love this dress. Right here, right now. And I feel this kind of energy that is stornger than an lot of beauty propaganda.

Will I bring a matching pashmina?
Maybe.
Will I stand tall when someone takes a photo?
You bet.
Will I look terrific?
Yes. I. Will.

When joy begins to bloom … don’t we all love to be joyful & bloom?
As women, we don’t always need a plan.
Soft Power is also the courage to let go.
To follow the moment.
To feel – to not think everything through.
And if things go sideways?
Well — at least look fabulous doing it 😉

Bags under the eyes and other important construction sites.. . I hope that we women remind ourselves – and each other – more often:
You are perfect.
Your radiance comes from within.
Your skin tells your story – every line, every wrinkle, every smile.

Let’s light a little flame together.
For the next season of our lives.
For growth. For lightness. For abundance.
For us women. For our lived femininity.

What color do you want to bring into your life in these new times?
Feel free to tell – because oftentimes one forgets – we are not alone ďż˝

Fabrics, shapes, words, memories. Clothing not only touches the eye, but also stimulates our mind and can influence ourselves. I have always bought fewer but very beautiful fabrics. As I get older, I find it hard to let go of them – so I think about how I can wear them again so that they give me this kind of strength, like a new piece of clothing when we wear it for the first time.

Not every day is about fresh flowers and soft light. Some days are about showing off, standing tall and asserting yourself – in high heels or flats, with lipstick or with a calm look on your face.

There’s an important presentation coming up – it’s important that I make that famous perfect „1st impression“ (and yes, mainly men). With a story in my hand and calm in my head. Because being a woman doesn’t mean hiding your softness. It means owning it – and knowing that it’s part of your strength.

Today I feel very comfortable in my wonderfully swinging blue skirt: red pearls, a funny clutch (good smalltalk invite) and the courage to speak up – for myself and for the work I love.

Love,

„I am more than ready for spring and I connect all the colours because I enjoy it. But sometimes I need soft and – slow – colours to be able to shine 🙂

I’ve had this vintage necklace for years, and it remains beautiful. Some items never go ‘out of style’. The world known mocassins are from #timberland. The deliciously oversized blazer is vintage. Together with a white shirt and jeans – so classy for mostly any occasion. I’m a fan. The shirt is from #ralphlauren and incredibly soft. By the way, whenever your are in a major city – drop into the Ralph Lauren store – not necessarily to buy something but just to get inspired of their stylish „take me to the Hamptons interior“ – yes always white with a good match of classic colours!

🐰 Looking for a really appreciated Easter gift? Take a look at #Garancia Paris – their LARMES de FANTOME are a must with its cooling pearl and XXL hydration.

Have a great day!
