Today I’m wearing my favorite wide-leg linen trousers — they move with me through it all:
kids, dogs, work, life. And a green polka dot scarf adds just enough joy to keep things playful.
For me, fabric is everything.
🧵 100% cotton. 100% linen. 100% real people.
And yes — real means real bodies. Real curves. Real change.
There’s so much talk around me about hormonal shifts in midlife — and yes, it’s valid.
But honestly …. isn’t life always shifting“ ?
Of course, it’s everyone’s personal choice how much space they want to give to hormonal shifts – and yes, if support feels right, we absolutely should reach for it. For me, that meant opening up space to explore and understand what was happening. I started with the wonderful book DIE WEISHEIT DER WECHSELJAHRE by Dr. Christiane Northrup, and I still keep a simpler guide close at hand – WECHSELJAHRE GANZ NATÜRLICH (DK Verlag) – for those moments when I just want clear, gentle advice.
Hormones high? Hormones low?
I honestly don’t know.
Tired? I rest if I can.
Hot? I wear something airy — and stay near the aircon a little longer.
Bloated? It’ll pass.
Emotional? Of course — that’s me, and that’s life.
The hype around „managing & controling womanhood“ feels… exhausting to me.
And I’m not just talking about women 45+.
I mean teenage girls, mothers, wives — women in all seasons of life.
Yes — hormones shape us.
But they are just a part of our lives. They are not life.

You are the life.
Focus on what flows.
Celebrate what your body lets you do today.
Maybe that’s a full, vibrant day.
Maybe it’s just a nap.
Maybe it’s dancing in linen pants after a perfect dinner — even if you feel a little full.
And by the way — men go through all this too.
So no, we’re never really alone. 💚
